Biathlon East Australia Spring on Snow Development Camp 

The program is part of the 2021 Biathlon East Australia State Team and State Development Team programs including Biathlon ACT, NSW Biathlon and Active Hotham training programs.

The Camp is open to all members  of Biathlon East Australia's Associations and Clubs.  

The Hotham Spring Development program is being held with adherence to Biathlon East Australia's COVID-19 Safety Plan requirements.  

If you are ill or have flu-like symptions, please donot attend.

Sessions will include .22 shooting, laser biathlon and cross country skiing sessions.  Use of Laser systems is subject to weather as they will not operate in heavy snow or overly strong wind conditions. 

Program:  Daily schedule of activties will be advised closer to commencement date but will include morning .22 / laser activties and afternoon will be focussed on skiing, both classic and skate.  

Sessions are subject to change depending on snow, weather and range availability. 

Session Start Times:  Approx 9.00am and 2.30pm

Session Length:  approx 90mins to 2hrs depending upon athlete capability

Equipment Required:  skate skis and poles are required. 

Athletes may also require classic skis and poles for selected sessions. Attendees will be advised prior to sessions which skis to bring. 

Limited XC skis, boots are available for hire. 

Rifles: Athletes should bring their own biathlon rifle, ammunition and accessories. 

A limited number of biathlon rifles will be available for hire to licensed athletes.  

A firearms licence or Junior Permit is required to attend  .22 shooting session. 

Laser biathlon equipment will be provided.

Membership: Please ensure your membership of your BEA Club or Association is up todat to attend the Camp.

Cost:   $60 per day for 1 - 2 or maybe 3 sessions

Members of Active Hotham and Active Snowy River who are permanent local residents may be eligible for a discount code as part of the Australian Sports Foundation Building Communities Bushfire and COVID Recovery Program.
