Victorian Biathlon Hotham October Training Weekend

The program is part of the 2021 Biathlon East Australia State Team and State Development Team programs including Biathlon ACT, NSW Biathlon and Active Hotham training programs.  The camp requires sufficent registations to proceed.

The Camp is open to all members  of Biathlon East Australia's Associations and Clubs.  

The Hotham October Training Weekend is being held with adherence to Biathlon East Australia's COVID-19 Safety Plan requirements.  Participants will be required to check in using our Services Victoria QR code.

If you are ill or have flu-like symptions, please donot attend.

Sessions will include .22 shooting and Rollerskiing. 

Program: 

Sat 30 October am - Skate Rollerskiing technique, agility and sprints.

pm - Biathlon .22 shooting and technique including potential use of SCATT laser system to anaylse shooting combined with running

Sun 31 October am - Biathlon .22 shooting combined with skate Rollerskiing and technique.

pm - Mt Bike or running tour

Session Start Times:  Approx 9.00am and 2.00pm

Session Length:  approx 90mins to 2hrs depending upon athlete capability

Equipment Required:  skate rollerskis, poles and boots. 

Limited Rollerskis and boots are available for hire. 

Rifles: Athletes should bring their own biathlon rifle, ammunition and accessories. 

A limited number of biathlon rifles will be available for hire to licensed athletes.  

A firearms licence or Junior Permit is required to attend  .22 shooting session. 

Membership: Please ensure your membership of your BEA Club or Association is up todat to attend the Camp.

Cost:   $80 per day

Members of Active Hotham and Active Snowy River who are permanent local residents may be eligible for a discount code as part of the Australian Sports Foundation Building Communities Bushfire and COVID Recovery Program.
