Port Campbell Biathlon Camp

The program is part of the 2021 Biathlon East Australia State Team and State Development Team programs including Biathlon ACT, NSW Biathlon and Victorian Biathlon training programs.  The camp requires sufficent registations to proceed.

The Camp is open to all members  of Biathlon East Australia's Associations and Clubs.  

The Port Campbell Biathlon Training Camp is being held with adherence to Biathlon East Australia's COVID-19 Safety Plan requirements.  All participants will be required to check in using our Services Victoria QR code.

If you are ill or have flu-like symptions, please donot attend.

All sessions will include .22 shooting. 

Program: 

Sat 13 November Arrive 8.30am - .22 Biathlon shooting coaching and combination training with running,  agility and ski specific drills

11.00am to 12.30pm - COME and TRY Junior Biathlon Clinic.  An opportunity for local juniors to try .22 biathlon and laser shooting under instructions.

pm - Biathlon .22 shooting technique and mountain biking

Sun 14 November  am - Biathlon .22 precision shooting coaching followed by running biathlon and fun relays.

Session Start Times:  Approx 9.00am and 3.00pm

Session Length:  approx 2hrs depending upon athlete capability

Equipment Required:   Mt Bike (Can be hired in Port Campbell)

Rifles: Athletes should bring their own biathlon rifle, ammunition and accessories. 

A limited number of biathlon rifles will be available for hire to licensed athletes.  

A firearms licence or Junior Permit is required to attend  .22 shooting session. 

Membership: Please ensure your membership of your BEA Club or Association is up todat to attend the Camp. 

Social Events:  It is planned to organise some optional social events for both athletes and parents on Saturday over lunch time and in the evening to enjoy Port Campbell.
