Registrations for this event are closed.

          

The program is part of the 2022 Australian Biathlon, Biathlon East Australia, Biathlon ACT and NSW Biathlon Performance and Development program. Masters athletes are welcome to attend. 

The training sessions and events behing held will follow the COVID19 requirements (if any) of ACT and Canberra Rifle Club. 

Where:  Canberra Rifle Club (CRC), Stromlo Forest Park and various roller-ski pathways in Canberra

Activities:  roller-skiing, laser biathlon, .22 biathlon and AUSXC Roller-skiing racing support. 

Training Schedule/Program: 

A minimum of three participants are required for each session to run.

Attendance is available on a per session basis, or for the day.   

All training sessions commence at Canberra Rifle Club or Stromlo Forest Park. Times are indicative and may vary to best cater for needs of participants.

Thursday 7th

4.00pm - 6.00pm .22 Biathlon Training for all levels at CRC

Friday 8 April:

1.30pm - 3.30pm  .22 Biathlon Training for all levels at CRC

5.00pm - 6.30pm BACT Rollerskiing and Laser Biathlon training and AUSXC pre-competition roller-ski preparation session at Stromlo Forest Park

Support at SSA XC FIS National Rollerski Championships, Stromlo Forest Park

(provided free to participants attending Friday, Monday or Tuesday training)

Equipment:

Roller skis, boots, poles.

Biathlon rifle and accessories, ammunition.

Laser rifles will be provided. 

A supply of roller-ski equipment is available for those who do not have equipment. Please indicate your requirements when registering.

Biathlon club rifles are available for licensed shooters without their own biathlon rifle. Please indicate your requirements when registering. 

Cost:  Attendance can be per session or per day 

Session costs: $35 per session or $60 per day

Range Fees and Ammuniton

Canberra Rifle Club Range Fees  are $15 adult and $9 Juniors (U18)

Ammuniton is available to order ($10 per box) or attendees may bring their own 

.22 Rifle hire is available $5 per session 

Please pay for your Range Fees, Rifle hire and order your ammunition when registering to attend the .22 session.  Please order 1.5 to 2 boxes per session.

Performance - State and National Team biathletes who have competed internationally and /or have been training regularly with Australian Biathlon, a Biathlon East Australia Club/Association and are competent roller-skiers and shooters. 

Development - developing and competent athletes of all ages who are learning fundamental skills and training to progress in XC skiing and Biathlon. Some will be planning to compete in Australian citizen and championship races in 2022. Masters athletes may attend these sessions.
