A Biathlon Development Camp will be held in Southern Highlands to introduce interested athletes to roller-skiing and laser biathlon.
Where: Locations in and around Bowral suited to the training activity.
Time: Commences 9.30am on Saturday 16th February and concludes on Sunday 17th February at 3.00pm.
Cost: $30 per session or $50 per day. There is 2 sessions per day which will combine laser biathlon with roller-skiing and other biathlon skills development.
Sessions will be tailored to attendees, their experience and progression over the weekend. Hire of laser rifle of $5 will be additional if attending only one session on a day.
Schedule:
Sat 16 Feb
9.30am to 11.30am - Laser biathlon including roller-skiing and skills development
Lunch and Biathlon talk
2.00pm to 4.00pm - Laser biathlon including roller-skiing and skills development
Sun 17 Feb
9.30am to 11.30am - Laser biathlon including roller-skiing and skills development
Lunch and on-going training discussion
1.30pm to 3.00pm - Laser biathlon including roller-skiing and skills development
Laser Biathlon: Laser biathlon equipment will be provided.
Roller Skiing: Roller-skis and boots can be provided.
What to Bring and Wear:
i) Equipment for roller-skiing - poles, helmet, boots, roller-skis, socks for XC ski boots.
NSW Biathlon has a limited supply of roller-skis and boots. Please indicate when registering equipment you may need.
All athletes must have a helmet to roller-ski. Knee pads and elbow pads are recommended for inexperienced roller-skiers.
ii) training clothing, including sock over the ankle for roller-skiing and covered running footwear for attending laser biathlon activities.
iii) a drink, healthy snack, hat, sunscreen for all sessions attended.
iv) athletes are able to go home between sessions for lunch if they wish.
