This Camp is for NSW and ACT member biathletes,  State Team and State Development Team athletes and invited athletes who are classified as competent or at a good beginning level.

Coaching will be of a high standard due to the qualifications and expereience of the Coaches.

Venue: Wodonga SSAA Range and other locations around Wodonga

Draft Schedule:

Mon 15th April 2019

am -  Biathlon and rollerskiing session involving precision and complex biathlon drills targeted to ability of athlete.

pm - High quality rollerskiing technique and training

Tues  16th April 2019

am -  Biathlon and rollerskiing involving precision and complex shooting drills targeted to ability of athlete.

pm - ability level ski specific hill running and hill bounding

Evening - Social Activity

Wed 17th April 2019

am - Biathlon rollerskiing and laser and/or .22 shooting

A final program will be confirmed with participants in the week prior to the event.

Shooting:  Laser equipment will be provided. Athletes should bring their own biathlon rifle, accessories and ammo. Limited .22 biathlon rifles are available for hire over the camp.

Accom and Food: To be organised by the athlete.  The Big 4 Borderland Holiday Park Wodonga Cabins and Villas is a good accomodation option and close to the SSAA Wodonga training venue.  It is located at:  65 McKoy St, West Wodonga VIC 3690 Phone: (02) 6024 3906

What to Bring:  

i) Roller-skis, poles and XC boots, helmet and short poles for hillbounding.

Roller-ski equipment can be provided for hire cost of $10.

ii)  Drinks, snacks and  water bottles for each session

iii) Suitable training clothing with layers. A change of clothing within a day should be available in case of inclement weather.

iv) Sunscreen, sunglasses, suitable head-wear

Cost:

Cost for participation and coaching will be confirmed prior to the camp. Based on 2018's Camp, it will be good value.

SSAA Range Fees - $5 Junior SSAA members, $10 Senior SSAA members, $15 adult non SSAA member

For athletes going onto the Melbourne Testing Camp, transport to Melbourne is being planned.
