SOUTHERN HIGHLANDS BIATHLON TERM 1 

A Term 1 biathlon program is being held in the Southern Highlands and will include roller-skiing and laser biathlon.  The program will run for 4 weeks on Wednesday afternoons from 4 March. 

4 WEEK PROGRAM OR WEEKLY ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOONS 

• Developing/Beginning - Rollerskiing & Laser biathlon 3.15 - 4.30pm. 
• Competent Biathlon athletes - Rollerskiing & Laser biathlon 4.30 - 6.30pm

Location:  Railway Parade, Burradoo  specifically - north end Bong Bong cycleway at the turning circle on Railway Parade.

• 4 week program Developing/Beginning - $75 includes $5 laser rifle hire. Minimum participants 3.
• 4 week program Competent Biathlon athletes - $135 includes $5 laser rifle hire. Minimum participants 6. 

 Laser Biathlon:  Laser biathlon equipment will be provided.

Roller Skiing: Roller-skis / boots / poles can be provided.

Registration Includes:  4 x Wednesday training sessions on March 4, 11, 18, 25

Weekly attendance is also available, please select the tickets for attendance dates when registering. 

In addition keen participants are offered attendance at the following events at a discounted or no cost to attend  (requires current membership with East Australian Biathlon Club) to the value of $200:

No cost

• ACT Biathlon Camp on 7th & 8th March at Canberra Rifle Club (includes .22 Biathlon training)
• Biathlon East Australia Jindabyne Camp on 21st & 22nd March (includes .22 Biathlon training). 

50% discount

• 50% discounted entry to Biathlon East Australia / Biathlon ACT  Summer Championships at Canberra Rifle Club on Sunday 29 April and Official Training on 28 April. Both laser and .22 events will be available to enter. A firearms licence or minors permit is required to enter the  .22 event.)
• 50% discounted entry to Biathlon East Australia / Biathlon ACT Laser Biathlon Series Event 1 Sun April 5th at Stromlo Forest Park, ACT.

Also included is 50% discount to attend any training session in Sydney for Term 1.

What to Bring and Wear:   

i) Equipment for roller-skiing  - poles, helmet, boots, roller-skis, long socks for XC ski boots. 

East Australian Biathlon Club has a limited supply of roller-skis, boots and poles. Please indicate when registering equipment you may need. 

All athletes must have a helmet to roller-ski. Knee pads and elbow pads are recommended for developing and beginning athletes. 

ii) Training clothing, including sock over the ankle for roller-skiing and covered running footwear for attending laser biathlon activities.  

iii) A drink bottle, sunscreen for all sessions attended.
