The East Gippsland Biathlon Club Roller Ski and Laser Biathlon Mini Champions Development

(in conjunction with NSW Biathlon Association and Biathlon East Australia)   

EGBC is resuming roller-ski and laser biathlon training every Thursday afterschool at the Marlo Tennis Courts for ages 9 to 15 years old.

Sessions will comply with new social distancing regulations coming into affect from 13 May including a maximum of 10 registered participants.

The program is free to participants as a community building and bush fire recovery Initiative.

Registration will include Free Complimentary membership to Biathlon East Australia.

The program is suitable for those who would like to try XC skiing and Biathlon and for students who are keen to train towards representing their school in the Victorian / Australian X C Skiing Interschool Championships and Biathlon Interschools events. 

 Sessions may be grouped into age abilities and run for 50 mins to an hour in the event that registrations are greater than available equipment or 10 person group limit.

Time:  From 3.40pm or 4.40pm (open to new to Rollerskiing and Laser Biathlon participants)

Dates and Times: Every Thursday from Thursday 14 May

3.40pm - 4.40pm - Beginning and Developing session

4.400pm - 5.40pm - Competent session

Coaching provide by local professional coach, Winter Olympic athlete / coach and local School for Student Leadership teacher Cameron Morton 

Participants will require:

• own helmet 
• knee and elbow pads are recommended for new roller-ski athletes
• boots, roller-skis, poles and high viz vests will be provided by EGBC
• Laser rifles, mats, targets will be provided by EGBC

You must bring a helmet, water bottle.

Please wear long socks and warm and bright clothing suitable for physical actiivity

Cost:  Free (Value $35 per session)

Membership of East Gippsland Biathlon Club is included for insurance purposes.

Where: Marlo Tennis Courts, Jorgensen St., Marlo

Commitment: For consistency and to provide continuity it is asked that participants register and commit to the whole Term 1 program valued at $245
