Youth/Junior World Championships are being held in Brenzo-Osrblie (SVK). They were re-located from Ostrov (RUS) to Slovakia after the WADA Doping scandal that engulfed Russia regarding the Sochi Olympics. The Biathlon centre at Osrblie is the National Training Centre in Slovakia and has an altitude of 600m,

Athletes competing will be:

Gabrielle Hawkins (NSW/AUS), Will Neuhaus (NSW/AUS) and Sabrina Howell (NSW/AUS). 

The athletes will compete in an Individual and Sprint and possibly qualifying for the Pursuit if they come top 60 in the Sprint. Both Will and Gabi will be competing in Youth (U19) and Sabrina in Junior (U21). 

Will and Gabi has chosen to prepare for World Juniors in Canada as part of the Canmore Nordic Biathlon Program and Sabrina will be coming from racing at Winter University Games.
