School Holiday Program - High Performance, Development and Active Hotham Training, 2021.

The program is part of the 2021 Biathlon East Australia, Biathlon ACT and NSW Biathlon Performance and Development program.

This event is held under the COVID 19 Safe Plan of Biathlon East Australia and will meet the requirements of the Victorian Government for sporting activties.  

Sessions will include .22 shooting, laser biathlon and cross country skiing sessions.  Use of Laser systems is subject to weather as they will not operate in heavy snow or overly strong wind conditions. 

Program:  Daily schedule of activties will be advised closer to commencement date but will include morning .22 /laser activties and afternoon will be focussed on skiing, both classic and skate.  

Sessions are subject to change depending on snow, weather and range availability. 

Session Start Times:  Approx 9.00am and 2.30pm

Session Length:  approx 90mins to 2hrs depending upon athlete capability

Equipment Required:  skate skis and poles are required. 

Athletes may also require classic skis and poles for selected sessions. Attendees will be advised prior to sessions which skis to bring. 

Limited XC skis, boots and poles are available for hire. 

Rifles: Athletes should bring their own biathlon rifle, ammunition and accessories. 

A limited number of biathlon rifles will be available for hire to licensed athletes.  

Laser biathlon equipment will be provided.

Lunch: Lunch is available at The General for participants and parents at a cost of $15 per person. 

Cost:   $45 per session / $80 both sessions /$500 weekly attendance fee

Membership: Membership of a BEA Club or Association is required to attend school holiday sessions.

Membership of Australian Biathlon is required to attend a .22 shooting session.
