2017 Biathlon Masters International Championships – Kontiolahti (FIN)

Biathlon Masters International Championships is a series of competitions for biathletes over 35years. In recent years the event has taken place at Kontiolahti in Finland with the first event being organised in 1997. In 2013, the Masters Competitions has 140 participants (aged 35-75 years) from eleven nations. In 2017, the number of participants is 193 from 12 countries.

In 2017, Australia had 5 competitors at the Masters Championships:

Robyn Englert Ladies 45-49

Irene Dunn Ladies 50

Michael Lillycrapp Mens 55-59

Friedl Bartsch Mens 55-59

Bob Cranage Mens 75

The events for 2017 were a Sprint and an Individual, with Bob Cranage winning a silver medal in the Men’s 75 Sprint.
