A Great First Weekend of XC Racing for the NSW Biathletes

Published Mon 16 Jul 2018

NSW biathletes produced some strong results in the first week of XC championships racing at Perisher. On Saturday the NSW Freestyle Sprints were held followed by the ACT Distance Event on Sunday. For the biathletes, the XC State Title events were a good opportunity to test how their summer training had prepared them for the winter season, with their two weeks of one-snow training preparing them for the weekend’s events.

With coaches Cam Morton and Lucy Glanville providing strong race support, including tactics, wax and race analysis, the athletes responded and brought home some strong results:

Age Class Name Sprint Distance

U12 Boys Alberto Allan 1st 1st

U16 Girls Isabella Moon 1st 2nd
