NSW Biathlete Daniel Walker has some high ambitions for this season.

Not only will Daniel be consolidating his qualification to IBU Cup, he also has his eye on qualification to 2017 IBU Biathlon World Championships. Walker has been super busy juggling his law degree studies at Notre Dame University in Sydney with his training schedule leading to his departure from Australia for pre-season European training in mid-October.  He is currently involved in a training block in Tyumen, Russia and will head off to Scandinavia shortly for his first competition on 25 Nov 2016.

Walker had some strong performances in the 2016 Australian winter season and including a number of personal best cross country skiing results results. In biathlon, Walker podiumed in both the Victorian Biathlon Championships and the Australian Biathlon Championships and was selected to the 2016-17 Australian Biathlon Team.
