Darcie Morton awarded SportAUS Hall of Fame Scholarship

BEA State Team Member Darcie Morton has been awarded a SportAUS Tier 3 Scholarship within the Hall of Fame’s Scholarship and Mentoring program.
The scholarship recognises Darcie achievements and hard work in the sports of cross country skiing and biathlon, where she has been a dual National Junior Champion and member of both disciplines's Australian National Teams.
On being awarded her scholarship, Darcie said:
“I am extremely grateful to have been welcomed into SAHOF as a successful Scholarship recipient as it provides me with encouragement and belief to continue my relentless pursuit to be the best athlete and person possible."
Since focusing on biathlon seriously from the age of 15yrs, Darcie has represented Australia at multiple events including 2017 Asian Winter Games, 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games, multiple World Junior Championships in biathlon and IBU Cup events.
The scholarship award is a great recognition of Darcie’s achievements and hard work and a massive congratulations to her.
Darcie will shortly head off to Sweden where she will base initially to commence her 2020-21 international biathlon season and we wish her all the best and will be following her progress
