Hotham - Challenging Weather, Fun and Comradeship
Published Sat 10 Jul 2021
The July school holiday biathlon camp at Mt Hotham Victoria has been a great fun school holiday activity as well as lots of focussed training for our State Team and State Development athletes.
A lack of initial snow did not dampen spirits with lots of fun social activities on the range and in the lodge, while the athletes ans coaches patiently waited for snow.
Finally, the snow arrived and the athletes were able to get out and enjoy snow time incuding drills and core activities to finish off their training.
When the snow came it delivered some tough weather conditions, but lots of determination and improvement showing from all the athletes regardless.
The Team lodge has been a fun and social place to hang out for the athletes after all their hard-working efforts during the day.
Our thanks go to the event organisers and volunteers for their great support of the training and to Hotham for making the venue and roadways available to us.
