Our Master Biathletes have been on fire this snow season! Rolling from an intense Master’s training camp in into competing in the Victorian Championships in July, they did not hold back!

The Masters camp took place over 4 days of training from 18th July 2022 and led into the Victorian Championships racing of 23 and 24 July. It involved focusing on .22 shooting and XC skiing and putting them together in a competitive way for racing. Some awesome drone footage captured during the training sessions, which provided a fantastic perspective on the training environment.

Over the two days of racing, 13masters took part in the Victorian Championships,with Sprint on Saturday and Short Individual on Sunday and this was the time all the training was put into practice, with fast skiing and steady shooting! went into All the masters had fantastic races. The high involvement of our Master athletes in biathlon programs underpins biathlon being a sport for life. It helps create long standing friendships and bonds people for life around the challenge of hitting 5 from 5! Biathlon Australia strongly supports their Master’s program, and team of people involved, including the coaches, Toscha and Paul. The wonderful Masters show us time and time again that you are never too old to compete in biathlon.
