Published Wed 08 Jul 2015
Even though the arrival of the snow has been a little slow, the NSW biathletes are training in Jindabyne and its surrounds in preparation for winter racing.
Coach Gatis Praulitis who was with the Australian Teams at Junior World Championships, World Championships and IBU Cup last season is putting the NSW athletes through their paces.
Up to 10 of the international NSW athletes including dual Olympian Alex Almoukov, World Championships representatives Daniel Walker and Dyllan Harmer together with their junior counterparts Sabrina Howell and Gabi Hawkins will be training together at Perisher, Falls Creek and Mt Hotham during winter.
NSW Biathlon will also be holding laser biathlon sessions and races at Perisher once the snow falls and XC trails are in place.
