A Great Weekend of Shooting Training

Saturday training was held at the Anzac Rifle Range in conjunction with our partner club Alpine Target Shooting Club and Sunday at the Sydney International Shooting Centre. Both sessions involved our newer athletes becoming familiar with rifles, how they work and learning the safety procedures of shooting at a Range.

On Sunday, thanks to a grant from NSW Office of Sport, 2014 Sochi Olympic biathlete Lucy Glanville was our coach for the morning. Lucy brought along her biathlon rifles so all attendees were able to experience shooting with a biathlon rifle, loading the shooting magazines and placing/removing a rifle on their back. We even had a real biathlon mat to train with!

Weekly Training

Weekly Saturday training at the Anzac Rifle Range will be available until the Christmas break with dates/times available on the NSW Biathlon Events page.
