Well done to Victorian Biathlon on their successful application to Victorian Sport and Recreation for the awarding of 4 Junior Talented Athlete Development Scholarships.  A grant of $2000 was received to assist Biathlon East Australia’s Victorian based biathletes access training and competitions to further develop their biathlon talent in 2021.

Targeted events which the scholarship funds will be used to provide financial assistance are training camps over the Victorian July School holidays, Snow Australia’s Schools Nordic event, Victorian Junior XC Championships, Victorian Biathlon Championships, Australian Biathlon Championships and any of the Australian XC Junior / Senior selection races  at either Falls Creek or Perisher Valley.

Biathlon East Australia’s coach Cameron Morton said “It is fantastic to be able to support Victoria’s emerging junior biathlon talent and have the athletes work as part of our Victorian and Biathlon East Australia team together with other aspiring talent to realise their potential in sport and life.”
