NSW Biathlon welcomes its Head Coach for Winter 2017 – Daniel Graf.   

Daniel will be coaching the NSW athletes in their Biathlon and Cross Country training and racing at Hotham, Perisher and Falls Creek this winter. Daniel’s career as a top level biathlete spanned 22 years with 10 years on the German National Team. He has been multiple times German national champion, 4 times European Champion and since his retirement as an athlete has spent the last 3 years as shooting and training coach of the British Biathlon Team.

He has trained many top ranked athletes independently including German National Team and World Cup athlete Franziska Hildebrand, who has ranked in the World’s top 10 biathletes over the past 3 years.

Daniel will be leading the NSW Coaching team which includes NSW Development Coach Lucy Glanville and Assistant Head Coach Cameron Morton.

He has been successfully been working with 2018 Shadow Team Olympians Damon and Darcie Morton since April 2017 and Damon recently spent 6 weeks of summer training with Daniel in Ruhpolding (GER).
