Winter Programs have Commenced
Published Sun 08 Jul 2018
Our winter on-snow programs have commenced and it's one of the best starts to winter at the Perisher Laser Biathlon Range for many years.
Our State team and State Development team athletes have been able to train on snow from Sunday 1 July both on the XC trails and the Laser Range. Training has centred around initial acclimatization to the higher altitude of Jindabyne and getting on-snow legs.
Sessions have included cross country endurance long-distance, speed work, core strength, laser practice including up and down on the mats and getting into position quickly. With the laser range now fully functional at 50m, it is providing great training opportunities and the flexibility of biathlon sessions being available through the entire school holiday period.
For interested athletes, sessions are available on a weekly basis, daily or casual drop-in. Please see Events and book in for your session. Any questions? Call 0406 420380 or email info@nswbiathlon.com.au.
The Range will continue to be operational during the season thanks to the generosity of Faezor Laser Biathlon equipment owner, Friedl Bartsch, and the NPWS providing the grooming support and necessary approvals.
