Whether you are celebrating the festive season on snow, in the sun or somewhere in-between, our Associations and Clubs would like to wish you a safe and joyful Christmas and all the best for the new year!

6 BIATHLETES ANNOUNCED ON 33-STRONG AUSTRALIAN TEAM FOR LAUSANNE 2020 WINTER YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES

The Australian Olympic Committee has announced the 6 biathletes who will be part of the Australian Team for the Lausanne 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games.

4 biathletes from NSW and 2 from Victoria, along with their team-mates from Freestyle Skiing, Snowboard, Cross-Country, Alpine Skiing, Ice Hockey and Short Track Speed Skating will take on almost 2,000 athletes, aged 15-18 years, from 73 countries in the Olympic capital, Lausanne in January 2020.

Huge congratulations to our BiEA athletes Isabella Moon, Lulu Miskin and Chelsey Johnson on their selection!

We are currently putting together our events and acvitivties Calendar for 2020. There wlll be opportunities galore to get involved in biathlon across a range of locations through the BiEA Clubs and Associations you are members of.  

Activties and events are being held in both summer and on-snow in winter and a BiEA team will travel to the biathlon races at Mt Hotham for those who wish to compete. Keep an eye on Events, as all activties and events will be listed there.

There is so much exciting biathlon coming up in January 2020. 

From live streaming of World Cups on Eurovision to our BiEA athletes completing at 2020 Youth Winter Olympic Games, Biathlon World Junior Championships, Alpen Cups, Austrian National Championships, there is a ton of biathlon coming up!

Our website will report on events and results and please follow our social media facebook & instagram (search NSW Biathlon) for regular updates on how our athletes are going.

Biathlon in East Australia (BiEA) is a combining of Biathlon ACT, NSW Biathlon, Biathlon QLD, East Australian Biathlon Club (EABC) and East Gippsland Biathlon Club (EGBC) to offer its members and supporters a range of biathlon events and activties.

The aim of BiEA is to increase participation in biathlon, proivde coaching support for all levels ranging from new to recreation, development, performance and masters.   

By joining any of the BiEA Associations and Clubs, you can take part in all activtites, programs and events being held, making it truely a one-stop-shop to get involved with biathlon.

Our BiEA website and communications will continue to evolve during 2020 and we thank you for your membership and interest in biathlon.
